NAD+

Hey everyone!

Hope your week is going well and you have an exciting / relaxing weekend ahead. As we introduce the topic to our next video — NAD — it’s worth highlighting this is an in-depth and intense topic. There are lots of moving parts that I’m looking forward to discussing with you, including:

1) The role of NAD+ in the body

2) The salvage pathway that forms NAD+ from precursor products as well as what depletes NAD+ (things like DNA damage, alcohol use, etc.)

3) What research on the different precursor compounds shows (NR, NMN, etc. - because from a pharmacokinetic standpoint they’re a lot more efficient than consuming NAD+ itself, especially by mouth.)
